Position Summary:

The Outside Salesperson seeks out new business opportunities and facilitates growth within existing accounts. They also engage decision makers by face-to-face contact and prospecting. They must represent themselves as a consultative partner by understanding a customer’s business needs, providing solutions, and offering value added services.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retain current customer base
  • Visit current customers and prospective clients
  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and turn them into customers
  • Face-to-face sales
  • Understand customer’s needs and provide a solution
  • Keep manager informed of prospective client visits with details
  • Generate weekly sales reports and submit them to management
  • Monitor industry trends to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Four plus years in sales required
  • Experience in light and heavy duty commercial fleet repair sales is preferred
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, have exceptional sales skills, and have a desire to be successful
  • Must have both excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to connect with decision makers and build lasting relationships
  • Solid experience in pre-visit planning and account development
  • Valid driver’s license
